Early June 2013

Is it really June?  Where did the last three months go?

Time for picnics with neighbors.

I've been picking lettuce for the last 3 weeks now.

We have salad for dinner 2-3 times a week.

Here's Mr. Nick gathering all his friends around him.

Can you tell I am just crazy about this patio?  I have envisioned this for years and it's everything I  thought it would be.  We often have a fire in the evening and sit out till dark.

My brother's dog and Nicky at play.

The patio is made of used brick and the love the colors.  Lee got the brick off E-Bay.

When you come to stay at our house you pull in your RV on the pad and now have 2 steps down to this lovely patio.  How great is that and no rig restrictions! Tracy, there sits your swing just waiting for you when you come.

I've passed this sign many times on the way to our son's place and always wanted a picture --- this time I finally got it. Didn't know Christ's Home office was in PA did you?

This is our youngest son, Brandon and his girlfriend Lee Ann. Brandon is the one in Nursing School.  We are so proud of all he has accomplished.

Lee has the ground prepared for the patio.

While they're working outside I am inside doing painting and redoing the bedroom.

I loved watching these two work together.  They really enjoyed one another and having Keenan stay with us for a month and 1/2 will always be a memory I cherish.  We just totally enjoyed his visit with us.  He is a very special young man.
It's not often you get to spend one on one time with a grandchild when you have 9 of them and it was very special to us and I hope to Keenan too.

Our life  does center around food a lot.

Keenan deep in thought at our tour of the state capital.

All of the following are scenes from the state capital.

Anytime any of you would like to come visit the state capital here you are welcome to stay at the RV spot we have here on the property.  We do have water and electric hook up.

We are alive and well !!!!

Lee and I left Florida early this year so we could spend some quality time with our eldest grandson.  On the way home we did make a stop in Savannah, GA. Leaving Savannah we saw this very unusual bell tower.

It was a beautiful spring day and all the flowers and shrubs were in bloom.

We've done Charleston and Savannah and I think Charleston is our favorite -- both worth the visit.

We stay in a state campground just outside of Savannah and it is just lovely.  It is Skideaway state park. We've been there once before with Jim and Tracy Tull and enjoyed hiking the trails in the park.  The Spanish Moss is incredible.

The parks in Savannah are lovely but I feel the more beautiful homes are in Charleston.

Who doesn't love seeing the horse drawn carriages.

We love walking along the waterway and all the shops.

The fountains were all green because of St. Patrick's day.

Below is a picture taken from one of the trails in the park.

First weekend Keenan was with us we took him to the Pennsylvania State Capital I think it is the most beautiful one in the US.  Anytime any of you would like to see it, call us we have an RV pad here and would be glad to put you up here while you make a few field trips. This is a picture of the capital below.
