We are back in the USA. The above collage shows some of the sights along the way to our destination. We had a 323 mile drive today. It was great to see this piece of lumbering equipment working --I hope that's a sign that things are improving!! We are staying in Hungry Horse, Mt. We are only about 9miles from the entrance to the park. We got here late about 8:00PM so we just set up camp and prepared for a day of touring the next day. The campground we are staying in is The Timber Wolf Resort and it is Enjoy America participating. It is a very nice campground and I would recommend it without reservation. Below is a picture of the McDonald lodge. It sits on McDonald lake and is very rustic inside. Log cabin style and a huge fireplace with rockers all around it.

There are two of these tunnels on the trip we took today. All just chiseled out of rock.
We were driving what is known as the loop and the following pictures were taken along the way.
Lee kept saying take a picture of the road so they can see that this road is just chiseled out of the rock.
There are flowers everywhere, at one point, I counted five different colors all growing together along the road.
There are times you are looking at timber covered mountains and then times it just looks like giant rocks.
This picture doesn't do it justice but, when the light hits this mountain, there are many colors on those rims around the mountain.
There are a total of 40 glaciers in Glacier Park--here are just a few of them.
We had a real interesting display by the clouds the day I took these two shots. One minute they were there and the next the sky was clear again.
This is the lodge located in the area of the park known as Many Glacier. It is sitting on Swift Current Lake.
Above are some pictures of falls and the streams and rivers taken along the way. Remember you can enlarge the pictures by clicking on them.
I was hoping we would see some mountain goats and we lucked out. We also saw a grizzly bear up on a hill but he was too far away to get a good picture.
I took almost 280 pictures in the park over the days we toured and then I had to come home and sort through and pick my favorites. There are many more but I could only pick some. I hope I've shown you all enough that you might decide to visit Glacier National Park too.

Life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quickly you hardly catch it going.
